I am working as a post doctoral fellow in Avasthilab at University of Kansas Medical Center., Kansas. My general research agenda as a post-doctoral fellow is to investigate fundamental regulatory pathways of ciliary dynamics to provide insights into the molecular mechanism of cilia-related diseases. We use Chlamydomonas reinhardtii as a model organism. Recently, I am involved in identification of the novel pathway for ciliary length regulation in Chlamydomonas under MAP kinase phosphatase inhibition condition.

I did my Ph.D. in Microbiology from Bose Institute, Kolkata, India. In my doctoral work, I worked on the Mycobacteria-mycobacteriophage interaction in understanding the molecular basis of how bacteriophages interact with their bacterial hosts.
